The Breeding : 

The Gold Garlanded "Nagyiregi" Great Dane Masterbreeding found in 1967. The founder is Janos Papp, who has dogs since his teenager years. He had Poodles, Deerhounds, German Shepherds. His Deerhounds performed at the movie "Sandor Matyas". One of his favourite German Shepherd was the brother of the legendary detective "Kantor".

Janos Papp has danes since 1986. His first Great Dane was a harl one, and no much longer he bought his first breeding couple in blue colour.  The founder couple were:Xeryus vd Lifthrasir, import from Nederland and Akita Roddog Hera, import from the Czechslovakian Republic.

Janos Papp is judging since 2000. He is a confirmed FCI judge since 2009. Breeding for more than 40 years, and judging for more than 10 years. Since 2009 he is confirmed FCI judge of FCI 2^nd Group. 

As an owner, breeder and exhibitor he has high leveled experience, what helps him in judging of the exhibited dogs' type, marks and harmony.

 He was judging on Clubshows, National Shows, Speciality Shows as well at Breeding examinations/Confirmations, too. He is a favourite judge of the MKSZ shows,too. (MKSZ is a smaller kennelclub of Hungary, partner org. of the FCI member Hungarian kennel Club)

He was judging Great Danes at many memorable shows: Millenium Great Dane Speciality 2001, Szilvásvárad - Great Dane Clubshow Hungary, Kecskemét - Great Dane Clubshow. He is beloved judge at German Shepherds, and the Mountain and Cattle dogs.

As a judge he gives priority to the dogs, who has good breed marks and who are balanced with excellent gait. He prefers those individuals whos approximates the standard the most without any overdone..

His granddaughter Anita Virágh living among Danes from her childhood. She growed up in our midst. .Since 1997 she is the co-breeder of Gold Garlanded "Nagyiregi" kennel. While Janos Papp is training the dogs and decides about the shows, his granddaughter Anita Virágh taking care of the bitches. Her duty is the selection: what bitches to long to buy or keep from a litter. What kind of paarings need to do: what types and blodlines to match.

She is handling many years ago, since her childhood.

" I had to learn how to  handling a dog, because Sába was mine. Papa told me: if she is my dog, I have to have practise in exhibiting Sába at shows, too. So Gian was the dog,  who helped me to learn handling. That time he was an experienced show dog"

 At first time Anita was handling their own dogs, a bit later  the dogs from their kennel.

Since 2000 she is handling almost a "professional" one.

For 2 years she was handling other breeds,too: Dachshunds, French Bulldogs, Bullmasstiffs,Schnauzers & English Bulldogs.   Nowadays she has less and less time, so she returned to the Great Danes. She has numberless awards with inland and outland owned Danes she had been handled all over Europe:BOBs, National Winners, International Winners,  and Group placements. Over her own dogs she brought off many Danes from kennels "della Baia Azzurra", "Grand Elegance", "From Valvasos Land", "v Gigantic Blau", "Vyam de Buena Vista", "of Islands Dream" ,"of Bacardi" and "v Gravital"

In the past decades dogs of Nagyiregi Kennel won numberless BOB, Clubwinner, Top of the Year and Champion of the Year titles. There are also plenty of Adult Champions, Interchampions, EuDDC winners, European Winners all over the world.
