All of our puppies are given the best care even before they are born. They are handled from birth, well socialized, healthy, friendly and smart with loving little personalities. All of the puppies go to their new homes crate-trained and potty trained. The reason for the puppies' training being so successful is because we start them "out on the right foot" sort to speak. We start training them as soon as they are able to walk.
All of our puppies have their dew claws removed 1-3 days after they are born. If requested by someone (at an extra charge), we can crop the ears as well.
At 4 weeks of age, the puppies are introduced to their "Eukanuba Large Breed Puppy" food, but also still nursing from their mother. At that time, they receive their first Parvovirus Vaccination.
At 6 weeks of age they are weaned from their mother and get their second Parvovirus Vaccination and their first dose of liquid de-wormer and earmite medication. The reason for this is to prevent them from getting intestinal parasites and/or earmites. Better safe than sorry.
At 8 weeks old, all the puppies are taken to the veterinarian's again for their first set of boosters, a combination vaccine for Canine Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Leptospirosis, Bordetella, Coronavirus, and their second vaccination for the Parvovirus (it's a series of shots). They are all then tested for intestinal parasites and ear mites.
After the puppies are vaccinated and tested, they receive a physical examination by our veterinarian. Once all the above is completed, we receive a Florida Health Certificate for each of the puppies. Then they are ready to go to their new homes.
