Email Mastiff Paws We choose to be a small breeder here in Houston, TX to allow the love and affection that a dog deserves. We originally bought our first Dogue de Bordeaux male puppy a few years ago, and fell in love with him and the breed, as time passed by we figured out that breeding French Mastiff's is something we would love to do. All of our dogs have different personalities and as we come across different people and families we understand that only "one" dog will grab your attention and have your heart. The Bordeaux is a gentle, calm, sensitive dog that forms a strong bond with his owner and is very affectionate with children. Early socialization and obedience training is a must for this breed. Our breeding program focuses on two areas: Appearance - We love wrinkles(the more the better), big heads, and stocky appearance. Temperament - We choose to spend a lot of time with our dogs and also to let them spend time with other dogs. Dogue de Bordeaux's are natural family dogs and our handling allows them to fit better into homes with children and existing dogs.
